Letter from the Editor

Dear reader,

Welcome to Issue 107 of The Rupture!

In this issue we present new work from writers whose names will be familiar to long-time readers, welcome some new contributors, and—very sadly—say goodbye to fiction editor Emily Alex. Without Emily’s keen eye and unflagging dedication, our last eleven issues would have been significantly poorer. We know there are big things in her future, and, really, we can’t thank her enough for the work that she has done here. Look: Do we even need to say it? We already miss Emily.

Fortunately, our spirits are buoyed by the contents of this outstanding issue. Reader, within, you will find strange abundances and unnatural overgrowth; wandering, wayward, and thoroughly lost parents; mirages and illusions of many kinds; mysteries; myth; tragedy; parsimony (or principle); sex; Pokémon; and, if you’re anything like us, plenty of laughter. What more could you want? Reviews? We’ve got those, too.

In any case, we’re glad you’re here. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sincerely,
Gabriel Blackwell
