Dear Reader,
Hello, and welcome to Issue Twenty-Four!
In this issue, we have new stories by Ben Loory, Ashley Farmer, and Natanya Ann Pulley, as well as novel excerpts from Donald Ray Pollock’s The Devil All the Time and John Minichillo’s The Snow Whale, both released this month. (Ben Loory's Stories for Nighttime and Some for the Day, which will contain his story from this issue, will also be out later in July.)
In addition, we're also excited to present the beginning of Jonathan Callahan’s fantastic three-part novella "ボブ (Bob)," which will be serialized across issues 24-26.
This month's poetry includes new work by Helen Wickes, Melody S. Gee, and Scott Challener, as well as a translation of Raquel Chalfi's poem "Laundry," translated by Tsipi Keller.
Our non-fiction this month includes essays by Liz Scheid and Devan Goldstein, as well as book reviews of The Complete Tales of Lucy Gold by Kate Bernheimer (reviewed by Jena Salon), Wire to Wire by Scott Sparling (reviewed by Daniel Rivas), Vanishing Point: Not a Memoir by Ander Monson (reviewed by Stacy Patton), Amazing Adult Fantasy by A D Jameson (reviewed by Peter Fontaine), and It Might Turn Out We Are Real by Susan Scarlata (reviewed by Candy Shue).
As always, thanks to all of our contributors for letting us publish their fine work. We appreciate your time and talents, and can't thank you enough for sharing them with us.
Sincerely,
Matt Bell
