Dear Readers,

Welcome to Issue Eighty-One of The Collagist. For National Poetry Month, we have an expanded poetry section with work from Meghan Dunn, Kaveh Akbar, Emily Pulfer-Terino, Mike Puican, Holly Iglesias, Heather Nagami, Ross White, and Melinda LePere.

In fiction, we have stories by David Peak, Matt Runkle, Ilana Masad, and Zsófia Bán (translated by Erika Mihálycsa) and an excerpt of Adrian Van Young’s Shadows in Summerland. Our nonfiction is an essay by Ruth Gila Berger.

Our Book Reviews include coverage of Jennifer Nelson’s Aim at the Centaur Stealing Your Wife (reviewed by Maggie Millner), Don't Smoke in Bed by Sara June Woods (reviewed by manuel arturo Abreu), and The Sound of the Sundial by Hana Andronikov (reviewed by Denton Loving).

As always, thank you to all our contributors, and to you, our readers. We hope you enjoy this issue.

Sincerely,
Gabriel Blackwell and Matthew Olzmann
